Read the fine print! You only get the 49.99 deal if you purchase the phone WITH a new cingular service plan. Then there are a whole bunch of other rules and if you break any of them Amazon will charge you $250 on top of what youve already paid.
I would not buy a cell phone from Amazon unless you are sure you can deal with all their stupid contract details below:

I posted somewhere on here that I went through the first several steps on Amazon to order the N75 as an UPGRADE. It still was going through at $49.99 and did NOT require me to pick a data plan. When I'm ready to upgrade, it will be for another two-year contract with Cingy. This may be right up my alley. Although, you have to read the fine print on that agreement. Seems they have you by the "goods" if you make one change to your account.
