Nokia N75
Got Pushed Into a Pool
I got pushed into a pool today with my N75 in my pocket and it wont turn back on. I just want peoples opinion on what i should do, Get another N75 or get a different phone like the iPhone or another smart phone for At&t.

definitely not a warranty issue... with that aside i would take the battery out and place it in front of a fan OR-- under a heat lamp to dry it out. theres probably 1/4 chance that will work, but if you need a replacement phone as long as its at&t (cingular) you'll be fine

this phone is covered under the insurance plan. Hopefully you added insurance!

I am not so sure about that. When I exchanged my old phone for this one they took my insurance off because they said the insurance won't cover this phone.

Take the battery out and place phone in a bag of rice (fully covered) overnight and see if that dries it out enough to work again...

Here is the AT&T web page for insurance. When you click on the ineligible list you will see that the N75 is covered. I also called customer service to double check. Hope your phone will eventually work.

uh duh thats insurance FRAUD to break your phone then call to have it placed under insurance then to make a claim ASAP... don't be a fraudster!!!! 🙄

A heat lamp is just going to mess the phone up more. It will melt and fry out parts of the phone.
Remove the battery from the phone and set the phone outside in the sun for a short time. The light will dry out the water, and the UV rays will prevent the water from making corrosion. A UV light bulb can be used in the same way. Just do not use a normal light bulb.
I normally remove the cover and just use a small UV light over the board and circuits. But don't do this if you don't want to lose your warranty.
