For an AT&T branded phone, the Device Software version is v10.1.282. For a Cingular branded phone, the Device Software is v10.1.273. I just got my new branded AT&T phone today.

Sounds even better. I called AT&T to get my phone unlocked and they asked me what for. What reason did you give them? Also when you unlocked it, was there some type of update that you did?

I told them the truth! I am going to india for a month starting in december. Plus i have been with at&t since 2001 or longer. No update after unlock. the phone is the same after unlock.
