Perhaps the stupidest response ever written to a question on the internet. He asked for the phone's status, as in when it's coming out. You responded with
(1) complimenting his question;
(2) your opinion of how good the phone is relative to other Cingular phones; and
(3) your opinion of how this will effect your wireless provider relationship.

I work in a corporate store but can't get any hard info other than a pamphlet given to us by a rep at our Christmas kick off 2 or 3 weeks ago. I want this as my personal phone so I'm trying to keep up to date on it. I'll let you know when it becomes availible. :-)

Just went by a cingular store in town an the only think i got was a dum look when mentioning the N75. I think these stores have no idea what goes on in the wireless market or told not to say anything about a release date.

My theory: Ask a sales person about a phone that is not yet available and they will tell you nothing (or worse, like the guy I talked to who tried to tell me that Nokia just won't w=sell an N Series in the US cuz it's too high-end) it's because if they don't sell you a phone RIGHT NOW they don't get the commission (or quota points or whatever...) from you.
Any sales person wants to make a sale. It's their job. So, their job is to get you to buy some other phone on the spot.

Just a little update for everyone else that is anxious for details on this sweet phone. A couple of different sites are reporting that the phone is going to drop in the first half of December.

just talked to my nokia rep...I've been talking with one of my customers who wanted the 6282 but when it got axed he got interested in the N75...so I decided to go to the source and ask my rep. The info I got isn't the most promising (what is these days). Basicly cingy doesn't want any inventory for this phone until after the end of the year. So maybe around Jan 1st it will ship. But that could change...
Personally, I really like the sammy a707...I've been using it for about a month now. I haven't had a N75 in my own hands yet, so I can't really compare the two phones besides the specs...I think the browser is going to be a little bit better (full HTML like on the E62) on the Nokia, but opera mini has got me going pretty good with th...
