what exactly is wrong with this phone that it needs to be delayed so long?
Good things come to those who wait.

No offense but what bull****. Is this going to end up like the N80? Cingular announced that it would carry the N80, just to get publicity, then they delayed release, then delayed again, and again, and finally decided not to carry it. You probably had people making the same statement during the N80 failures as well.
i understand that cingular needs to test their phones. but when nokia says that the phone will be available in november, I am sure that they factored the testing process in. and you should know that cingular does take such a long time to test their phones, and when they come out, some are still buggy.
if you dont believe me, go read up on the cingular sync which had inital software problems even after it passed cingular's "quality" testing
I can only hope they are holding off for a FP1 update to the phone (to include HSPDA) eh.. doesn;t matter, I'll probably get an iPhone anyways.. 🤣
Call it what you like, you are entitled.
Fact: no press release came from Cingular stating the n80 would be carried. It did show up on some internal spreadsheets as a phone that was being considered. It was not made with us 3G, only 2100. Do you want to spend all that money on a device that does not reach it's full potential? If so, you can still buy one. They are available at Nokia.com.
The 6126 was announced, then cancelled. Things happen. The why never trickled down, but I'm sure it was for a valid reason.
When tthe 6682 was released and had software issues, we got blasted for putting out an inferior product(was fixed after a short time, I still use a 1st edition w/32k sim)). Looks like a no win situation for us.

the list goes on and on. i personally think they delay more phones than they get them right. i went back and read some of the nokia n75 posts, and guys are saying, "the nokia rep is very confident that cingular will release this in november"
now that we look back on it, and we see that it might not come out till mid january (if that) it really does make you think.
wtf is goin on over there?

Sounds like "he sais she said". If you guys had more to go on(Cingular itself anouncing, then cancelling), I might consider your point of view.
Cingular can not control what Nokia, Moto or Samsung reps spew.
The following link is to the site where Cingular announces it's newly launched equipment and products. When it's announced at this site, it's official and from Cingular. Everything else that is said is conjecture.
If you were a vendor and you were talking to sales reps, would you try to get them stoked and throw stuff/info out there that would keep the masses interested? Getting
