It has a number of bugs in the firmware(which they have release three updates for since the phone came on the market, they have now released a updated firmware in Asia for this phone), ranging from the phone rebooting by itself, to it's features not working correctly(camera, internet, TV out and most of all battery life - very poor). 2. Yes, there were/are a number of issues with the original N95-1, which have been fixed with the new N95-3 - especially the new battery. There will be new firmware updates for the N95-1 as well, which hopefully will fix any remaining issues.

N95-1: Silver front, Plum or Sand back, the camera has a physical cover, flash is towards the side of the phone
N95-3: Silver front, Black or Bronze back, the camera has no physical cover, flash is towards the bottom of the phone
N95-2 (aka N95 8GB): All black, bigger screen, camera and flash are like the N95-3.
The above are ordered in increasing price order.
