Samsung BlackJack SGH-i607
Storage Card Video Playback
SmartPhone noob here...
I have a 1gb micro sd card for my blackjack and recently put a .avi version of The Boondock Saints (please no comments on not liking it 😛 )onto it. The file plays fine in Windows Media 10.0 on my PC, however, when i try to play it on the phone the following message appears:
Alert
An object or name was not found.
The only option is OK. .mp3 files from the same card are able to play fine...any clues on how I can play .avi files on my blackjack? do they have to be converted, and if so what tool do you all recommend to convert with?
Thanks for any and all help
Josh
The file name might be too long. Some programs don't take well to very long file names and won't run the file. My MP3 player on my Samsung D807 does the same thing with a long file name.
Try shortening the file name. Make it something like BS.avi or something to that effect. Keep it under 8 characters, without spaces.
That might take care of it for you.
