Certainly there's a demand for cheap phones like this. Why is that bad? What in the feature list is a "mistake"?
Until it's been out and people have used it for a while and submitted user reviews, how do you know anything about the quality?

Mostly every single Kyocera handset ever released has been "crap" so why would this one be any different?

If anything, I think it's a cool looking little blue phone. Couldn't be any worse than my a620.

says me Rich. i don't work for Cricket but a company similar to it, and Kyocera hasn't let us down with their reputation for garbage handsets with this doozy. sure it's cheap and affordable but the overall cost of replacing it several times, becoming frustrated, and finally purchasing a different handset isn't worth it. it has an original look and textured feel but i'd rather have the insides of the phone be what Kyocera updates, not the appearance.

I'm the one they market to, Rich. I'm 46 years old, with excellent credit, and want a simple little phone that doesn't drop my calls, burn my hand, has enough battery power to get through the occasional award show, and is big enough to hold on my shoulder as I talk. Oh, and I like it to be able to actually make calls, too. Since I've been with Virgin Mobile, I've had good service out of both my Kyocera phones. My K7 Rave was a sturdy little phone that lasted a year and a half, and my K5 Slider has proven very reliable after 11 months. When the battery finally dies on it, I would probably buy another Kyocera phone, a bar-style or a slider, though, not a flip phone like the Marbl. I just can't see taking out a loan to pay for something to make...

Dunno about things stopping working on this phone, but I have to agree that it's a total piece of junk. I had it for less than 24 hourss (on Pocket service, ww.pocket.com) before I drove 40 miles to upgrade to an Audiovox 8910, which has been fine for me. But yeah, while the phone looks okay, it's a total piece of junk UI-wise and that's a bad thing to have problems with on your only entry level phone (PLEASE Pocket get something else at your low end so people stay with you!)...

Has anyone had trouble with the battery that comes with the MARBL phone? Brand new out of the box, I tried to charge it. After a full overnight charge (no light appeared to let me know it was charging), I closed the phone and left it on my dresser. Approx. 30 hours later, in the middle of the next night, the phone played a tune and turned itself off. I got up, turned the phone back on and viewed the message, "Low Battery" before it turned itself back off again. After several charging attempts, it seems like the phone is holding the charge a bit longer.
Question: Does the Lithium Ion battery have to be broken in?
