battery life?
battery life is great. as long as you charge it properly (i.e. take it off the charger as soon as it's done, drain it completely before charging it) the first few times you do it, it should be fine. i've gotten pretty much the full 3.8 hours that the specs list, and that's with heavy internet/music player usage

does it damage the battery to leave it on the charger even after its charged? otherwise how am i supposed to charge it overnight?

It is fine not allowing it to drain all the way and/or not taking it off the charger right away. Just about all cell phones now use lithium-Ion batteries and don't have a memory effect like the the older Nickel-metal hydride ones did... In fact on certain phones it shows full at 90% when you should let it stay on for a bit longer.

What kinda of standby life are people getting? Even without using teh phone at all, the battery would not last a full day for me. Do you guys think I have a defective battery? I made sure that is is fully charged each day, but by late night, the battery indicator would be at one bar already. My Sanyo 8200 never have battery life as bad as this. Can people post their standby life? Thank you.

Sounds like you do have either a defective phone or battery. I've been getting about 3-4 days with moderate use (calls and txt only, no vision).

My battery doesn't last more than a day...i charged it all the night before last and it was fully charged...i take it to work and hardly use it...take it home, i still have 3 bars, then i wake up this morning and it's off! I mean, i didn't charge it last night cuz it still had 3 bars...but then it was DEAD this morning...i don't get it...there have been other days as well that it goes down to about 1 bar by the end of the day with very minimal usage. i LOVE this phone...but the battery sucks! or, at least mine does...

ok, an update. 2 days ago I decided to turn off the phone while charging, and voila, the battery life is much better now. It lasted a whole day and a half before it went down to one bar. And that is with light use and a few minutes of power vision. I donno if it is b/c its a new battery and needs to cycle a few times before it reached full capacity or the battery charges better when t he phone is off. I am a lot more happy with the battery life now.
