change in functionality
I got a Razr v3xx. I noticed right away that I could look at the files using the phone by itself. I could also have sworn that the phone would load my pictures from the PC. The battery meter did not work so I exchanged it for another one. The one I received was branded AT&T (instead of Cingular). It won’t display any of my pictures (because they are too big). And I can now only see the individual files if the phone is plugged into the computer. Has anybody else come across this change in functionality? I would like to find a way to have the phone display some pictures of my own (no matter the size) shrink to fit. What sort of utility programs are out there? I wonder if they changed the firmware. Anyway, it is still a good phone.

I chose four samples. One at 618x321 using 43.1 KB worked. Another at 400x398 using 42.2 KB worked. The third at 3000x1986 using 129 KB did not display. Last, I tried 2304x1728 using 1.53MB that did not display. The first two were small album art photos. The third was a scanned picture. The last was taken with a digital camera.

I tried opening a pic that was 2592x1944 and around 4MB. The phone told me that the image was too large to open. I guess there is a limit. What that is, I'm not sure.
I took the same picture and resized to 1024X768 (file size around 150K) and I could view without any problems. Hope that helps!
