Text converting to MMS
I was wondering if any one else has seen the below problems. I have seen 3 phones all doing the same thing:
1. On the V3xx you go to type a text message - it shows you are doing a text message but when the other person receives it they receive it as a mms message. It doesn't do this every time but does do it sporadically.
2. Ringer Id's ~ On the Motorola's the ringer id will go off when the person calls and when a text message is received from that person. Well on several V3xx's this is also sporadic. When the person calls the ringer id will play every time but if it is a text message sometimes it will play the ringtone or sometimes it will play the default text sound.
The first phone I saw like this was a friend of mine's we did ...

Sure. This is an annoying quirk of this phone, but I've learned to live with it. For some reason, when your outbox reaches a certain memory capacity, it will start sending as mms. Don't ask me why...it just does. So generally I keep my outbox fairly clean, although this quirk doesn't seem to kick in till you have 80-100 messages in there. Just happened to me last night cause I've been texting so much due to the world series...I'm in Boston...so I just deleted 20 of the oldest messages and it was back to normal. On a side note, the automatic cleanup doesn't seem to work at all...I've tried setting it to "last 60 messages", and it just won't do it. Keeps them all.
This could also effect the ringer id problem, if alerts are set differ...
