Need help Samsung m510 - sd card needs formatting?
I just received my new Samsung m510 phone, and I'm trying to put music on the SD card. Every time I put the SD card in the adapter and insert it into my laptop (a Dell Inspiron e1505), it recognizes it, but tells me that "The disk is not formatted" and asks me if I want to "format it now." Should I do this? Will it hurt the compatibility with the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a new sd card in my M510. I didn't format it through my laptop just through the phone. I accessed the card through tools, I can't remember exactly what I did next, but I think the phone actually took over itself and prepared the card. Perhaps try doing it that way then connecting to your laptop.
