A717 vs A707 SYNC
Do you guys think this phone will be better than the SYNC. I tried the SYNC and liked it for the most part but I hated how you had to hold down the side keys for the external display to light up. I also thought that that made it kinda useless since you could open the phone quicker and the external display was kinda useless so I am thinking that the small OLED display of this phone might be more or just as useful.
What do you guys think?

Bought a A707 for my daughter for like $16.90 after rebates, for that money, I find it an excellent phone. Is it perfect, no. Is it better then wife's V3i, heck yeah, is it better then my N75, no, but its cheaper and has a far better battery, full hsdpa and as for just making calls and texts, it is every bit as good.

717 is thinner, only thing that bothers me is the OLED on the outside, but then again I guess it's one less thing to worry about since there's nothing to really crack on the outside. If you want a thinner phone with a swivel-camera, go for it, but the Sync is basically a thicker phone with an outside disp, albeit at a much cheaper price.

Like any phone it's personal opinion when it comes to appearance, but I really like the small external display, the fact that unlike the 707 the AT&T and Samsung logos are very small and light gray color, so they are barely noticeable. Also the keyboard is higher up on the body of the phone, so there is more space between the bottom of the phone and the bottom row of keys. This makes texting one handed really fast. Because the 717 is thinner and wider it's the best one handed flip phone out of the 10 or so I've had. The call quality, volume and signal strength are better on this than the 707 or RAZR by a wide margin. I ordered mine over the phone from AT&T and was able to get it...
