text message ring tones
How can you change the text message tones with ones that you have on your phone? Right now the only ones I have are the five or so obnoxious ones that come with the phone, and have to keep my phone on vibrate for texts.
very lame.
bluetooth
IS THE CV AND MOBITV AUDIO SUPPOSED TO PLAY THRU STEREO BLUETOOTH....I CANT GET MINE TO WORK THAT WAY
Replace Keypad
Anyone know if the keypad can be replaced? My dod got a hold of it last night and I now have teeth marks/punctures in the key pad. Thanks!!
Compared to a SLVR7?
While I will admit this isn't the best phone on the market, it happens to be a good phone, nice and small and far superior to any SLVR.
The last reviewer seemed to play with it for a few minutes and sent it back and dogged it. Fine thats his opinion, but I think he jumped the gun. Going from one companies interface to another can take abit getting used to.

Samsung SGH-A727's Screen: 65K or 262K?
I have seen inconsistent information regarding the screen on the Samsung SGH-A727. Samsung's own website report it as 65K color screen, but many other websites (including AT&T) say that it has a 262K color screen? So which is it?

how do you delete text msg log?
I can't seem to figure out, cause it's not intuitive, how to delete the text messaging log of numbers that i have sent or received.
Also, is there a silent mode where neither the vibrator or ringer work but the phone is still on? I am in a lot of meeting and sometime fin the vibrator to be annoying but I still want to keep the phone one.
Thanks for any help!

A717 Superior To A707 Sync
I have both the A707 Sync and now the A717. They are both very nice phones and very close in functionality. I find the A717 to be my favorite for a number of reasons. I prefer the sleeker, thinner exterior without the audio controls, the protruding fixed camera, and the over sized external display. The small OLED display near the top, is very discreet and continues the "All Black" theme of the phone. I prefer the D-Pad as it's round instead of the irregularly shaped square on the A707. Another advantage of the 717 is the rotating camera that can be positioned to take pics front, rear or rotated to the closed position, thereby protecting the lens. I have large hands and find the keypad on the A717 easier to use and a bit more positive in the ...

I like the SYNC Better...
To me the SYNC looks much nicer than either of these phone. And besides being more aesthetically pleasing, the Sync also benefits from a better key pad and better directional pad as well. Also, the at&t branded SYNC was updated to support Video Share as well (the Cingular SYNC will not). All in all, the SYNC and the A717 operate exactly the same. And with the available external music keys, better key pad & better directional pad, I'll stick w/ the SYNC. And BTW, its like $100 cheaper.

MicroSD capacity
On the maximum capacity for the MicroSD card supported by the A727. The Samsung said it's 1MB, but I'm seeing sites that sell 2MB for this phone. I'd be very disappointed if it turns out to be only 1MB.
Any thoughts?

Looks Like...
Looks like a Samsung version of a SLVR... lucky for at&t... just as the SLVR is dying, they get to replace it with a better version of the same style... Samsung has so much more than Motorola.... always feel sorry for people when they come in with a Motorola on CDMA... seems like Moto is a lot stronger on GSM, so maybe this won't be as big of a hit as the SLVR, but it could fill the void being left by the SLVR as of current....

soft keys
will the soft and hot keys be fully customizable? or att will learn from tmobile and cripple the a727 like tmo did with the t629.
besides, they use the same trace/820 body.
i'd take this one over a L7 wcdma anyday.
Altell R510??
How come it's not listed in the database yet?
It's the cdma variant of this phone and has been on sale for a few weeks now.

Everyone is talking so much about the iPhone but how comfortable would typing actually be on this phone?? I see Jobs and the Apple CEO doing everything else except for typing a text message. makes me wonder.........

What's the point of live video sharing?
Why would you only want to see what the other person is seeing, but not the other person? You can easily have a true video conferencing phone, yet you don't want manufacturers to have a lens on the inside or at least one that rotates to face the user? And if you turn the phone around so the other person can see you, then you can't see them.. catch 22. Answer me this Cingular.
