is the call quality good? please help!!!
is the call quality really clear and does it pick up good. since it has only one speaker does this affect it any or is this a good choice. does it have any hissing sounds in the background?

Hey mcuff ! I have the 8700, and I think the call quality is very clear. At least that's my experience.I also think it picks up good also. I don't think you'll be dissapointed with it, and I never hear any hissing sounds in the background. I think it is a very cool phone. The screen clarity is excellent. Sounds like you are talking on a landline phone. At least that's been my experience. It sort of scratches easily, I think they sell covers for it. Overall I am pretty pleased with it.
