Data Plan???
3geeJun 22, 2007, 2:16 PM
I wonder if they will let it run on PDA or smartphone connect, or if they will set up a new more expensive plan for it. With the yahoo maps integration, iTunes, push e-mail, and youtube capabilities this thing is sure to use astronomical amounts of data. But if the apple people are willing to pay 600 for the equipment then I guess they will be willing to pay more on their bill.

Of course they are, they are less willing though, to get out of their debt. Sad, but true.

wow, thats an intelligent remark. Im glad people use this as a way to pass their time making useless comments bc they have nothing better to do...Im sure a $600 phone will break you...give me a break...if thats how you think Id hate to see your bank account....maybe some people have the money to spend...Im sure that never crossed your mind since youre busy lashing out at the world because you have no life....I think youre processors as slow as the one in your upstage...figure it out...itll come to ya...

There is going to be a new more expensive data plan specific to the iphone. apple gets to decide what it will be. also, you will have to sign a two year contract on the phone AND THE DATA PLAN. if you change the data plan, att will cancel the acct and BAM! you have an early termination fee!
******************the only way you can activate one of these phones is thru an upgrade or a new activation. att will not be selling them at full retail, and if you get one of these on ebay, you are screwed bc att will not activate it. trust me, i have a source from att, if you dont believe me, go into any store and they will tell you what i just said.

There is no discount on the phone for doing a two year contract at all. The price(s) are firm at $499.99 and $599.99 with or w/o a contract. However, the phone can only be sold w/ the appropriate at&t rate plan attached. Customers will not be able to purchase the device w/o a qualifying line of service. But I believe most store will only sell the devices to new or upgrading customers. So if you want to buy one w/o extending the ole contract, you might have to wait a while until stock is readily available.
