I-Flop
I sure can't wait to browse the full internet on a real web browser with the super fast speeds of a dial up modem.
Watching youtube videos should really be cool, after the 15min wait for them to download.
At least Google Maps comes pre-installed. By the time the map updates to my location, I'll have already passed it going 25mph.
Thank god they don't offer itunes music downloads, or do they? I mean, don't we all want to wait 5 to 20 mins for one song to download? By the time it's finished downloading I could have driven home, synced the song, and drove back to work.

So, you're getting one on Friday then?

Why hasnt Apple responded to these concerns? In all their videos it looks like the Iphone's internet speed is decent. I dont get it.

The video you are referring to is part of a presentation.
Like powerpoint.

Its called WiFi. Sure my internet speed is great at home.. Now that is what I call a mobile phone. 🙂

I dont know if you have ever used Cellular Video(formally Cingular Video), but the buffering time is only about 5 seconds, and I'm in an EDGE market not 3G. Not to mention at&t is adding additional T1's and whatnot to get faster internet connections just for the iPhone. BTW, EDGE is quicker than dial-up. The fastest speeds I've experienced is 180kbps.

3G really isnt nessary unless you want to tether the phone to a laptop. No blackberry has 3G only one treo has 3G. PPL keep complaining about no 3G when 3G really just doubles the speed which doesnt really make much of a difference on a mobile phone...
...
not to mention 3G is only available in 160 cities. Why would i want to pay an extra $100 (probably) for a feature that isnt even in my area?

I am not anti iphone, I will in the end get one, but not till 3g hsdpa. And yes I see the difference between the two.
