The average review rating of 3.5 is kind of lousy isn't it?
The blackberry curve gets 4.86. I know that they are different devices but why are the reviews for the iphone averaging out so poor?

There is simply a lot of backlash due to the "hype" of the phone.. The phone has its drawbacks like every other..but they are magnified by the expectations to the point it renders most negative reviewers frothing at the mouth and head exploding so they go overboard.. thats all.. I would wait for things to settle down a bit and then you will see less zealous reviews (positive and negative) and be able to get a clearer picture..
