a silly friend needs iphone help.
a buddy of mines purchased an iphone 8gb about a few months ago. he likes it and what not but, the idiot put a lock on it and forgot the password.
is there anyway of hard resetting this device without a need of itunes or the password he forgot?
when he plugs it in it says cant be sync'd or cant be fully restored untill password is put entered. or something to that effect.
any help is appreciated,

Have them turn the phone off, then while holding down the home button (while the phone is off) plug it into the computer connector. Then try restoring the phone. that's a hard reset.
