Mp3 Player?
afifiOct 17, 2007, 4:29 PM
When I asked sprint about putting songs on my phone they said it costs 3cents a kilobyte (around $15 a song) or 15-25$ per month.
Does this mean the only way I can use my phone as an mp3 player is by paying per song (even if they're from my computer and not from the sprint store) or an extra $15-$25 +tx per month?
Is there some other way that it can be free of charge, like a regular mp3 player?

The phone comes with software and a cable specifically for uploading music from the pc to your phone.
The 3cents per Kb only applies to data transfer from the internet. For example,; downloading web pages, ring tones or images from your phone. (Does not include songs purchased from the sprint music store though.)

Thanks for the info- the sprint representative stated that every time i transferred any data including songs to the phone I would be charged. She said even if I transferred the song to the card, and then manually put the card back into the phone I would be charged. Or if I used the cable. This conversation took place on their website using the Chat with a customer support representative option.
Also, when I put the phone in storage mode and attach my phone to the computer (imac) using the cable, it's not recognized by the imac as existing at all, so i guess i should solve that first.

hello,
I got an upstage yesterday and my macbook running 10.4.10 recognized it. I updated to 10.4.11 today and poof! no compatibility!!!
I'm wondering if anyone has any tips other than re-installing tiger and updating to 10.4.10. I can't find a driver anywhere.
thanks!
