8800 and Verizon
I was in a verizon store last week and the rep confirmed that verizon will definitely get the phone. May or June- the date is not set

I've heard from a number of people/sources that the 88xx will be out for Verizon by June at the latest (more likely late April-mid May), and it will have both CDMA & GSM. No word on 3G, but even then, I'll be fine with EVDO over EDGE. The only difference I've heard about is the GPS functionality. Based on how VZW handled the 87xx vs. Cingy's version thereof, VZW's GPS was locked down, so it's a pretty safe bet the same will be in the 88xx as well.
Assuming that there is no 3G, CDMA+GSM and GPS is locked, I'd go with VZW hands down, just on the knowledge that the service will be awesome. Other people might need those features -- as well as a camera, which might eventually surface, along with wifi -- but for me, I'm good to go.
