Do the FM radio and MP3 player require headphones?

Do the FM radio and MP3 player require headphones, or can they be listened to from the speaker?

The fm radio requires headphones, but the mp3 player can be listened on speaker since its your own songs. it also wont stop playing when you flip your phone closed, all you have to do is go back to it and click pause when your done listening.
