HTC Mogul / XV6800 / PPC6800 / P4000

Just curious if this smart phone is VCast ready for Verizon. I got the sense from the Verizon web site that it is not.

This is the 3rd replacement i have. Just received 3 days ago, and what do you know, applications hangs. Needs Reset - always.

Today, i had to reset at least 5 times.

Anybody found a solution ?

I know there is a problem with MS Voice Command and BT headsets where the VC does not acknowledge one's saying Yes to complete a call.

Is the problem also evident with BT car kits?

If so, does anyone know if VZW, HTC, or Microsoft are doing anything to fix it?

Did anyone download any type of AIM for this phone ? How is it working ?

Please help me with information. I currently have a treo700p and would like to get a new phone but cannot decide on the 6800 or the i760. Does anyone have experience with both and have an opinion on the best phone. The 6800 seems to be rated best according to this site. Please help.

So I just picked up the mogul, I've had it for less than a week, and I love it so far, but I'm having a few minor problems that I thought maybe someone here could help me with before I start scouring the interweb for other forums.

1. After installing (and uninstalling) a couple of apps that modify themes and the today screen, my screen seems to be very slightly flickering a red hue, like the color is going out. I notice it most when I'm using the stylus. I know this is probably a poor description, hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about.

2. And I just discovered it this morning as it was the first time I had to use the alarm, but when I set an alarm for the morning to wake up on, it doesn't go off until I hit the power butto...

I'm just wondering does any one have a program to make the response of the phone keypad quicker?? i hate the lag when punching in numbers/dialing numbers...does any one know how to speed this up or speed up the response/feedback of the keyboard.

My wife's Mogul has fallen off of Sprint's data network for the 2nd time in so many weeks. Pull up IE and the phone tries to dial #777 then reports "cannot connect" due to an "unkown reason". Tried battery removal, soft reset, hard reset, changed her web password, tried to add a new modem, etc, etc. Its not coming back.

The first time, we had to call Sprint to get it resolved and it looks like we'll need to do that again. I've heard that others have had this problem and exchanging the phone for another Mogul didn't help. My new Muziq doesn't have this problem. Any suggestions? We're about ready to dump the phone for something else at this point.

Is anyone else having horrible battery life with their new 6800? I have tried all things that I know to stop battery run-off but none have helped. I slowed wireless sync to only check once an hour. turned off the wi-fi compeltely and its still horrible.

I havent even really used the phone today at all and I still am totally out of battery 10 hours later...

Bought the xv6800 2 weeks ago - so far pretty happy with it. But, not able to get music out of it - copied cd's to my computer and from there sync'd to the phone. Screen shows song is playing, headphones properly set and checed but no sound. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks, nyguy

The new Mogul goes into deepsleep. Can't turn on and not responding to buttons. Can't receive calls also without me knowing it.

Finaly, after 3 days of going around different Sprint service centers, and hours of calling to sprint, they replaced it yesterday.

Today, i go to the internet to check if it;s still working and there it is - IT HANGS.. Not responding to anything. I had to reset...

What's wrong with this device?

I switched from the 6700 to the 6800. On my 6700's Windows Media Player the screen would automatically switch to full landscape view. Now I have to click full screen then slide open the phone. Is there an easier way?

Tried JawBone and Motorola 700 blue tooth units. Alltel is network and they have not released the same download updates as Sprint. Any chance these downloads, when released to us, will solve this problem?

Does anyone know how to get it to sync with a mac - free? I know missing sync does it, but thats $40.

I saw some images of this phone with a very large digital clock display. I cannot figure out how to do this. Does anyone know how? Is a menu item on the pjhone, or is it an application? Thanks!
