Motorola Q Global / Q9h
Hasn't anyone learned anything about motorola smartphones?
Forgotten about the MPX220 that was released and dicontinued 3 times? Or the recent Q that has no key guard? Hopefully this one is better running windows mobile 6. I'm not going to hold my breath for it. Lets face it Motorola hasn't exactly been reliable with their software on their handsets for the last few years.
In fact if HTC ever releases a version of the dash for us here at cingular this phone will not stand a chance. I do have to hand it to MOTO this phone does look nice. Motorola has never had a problem with that department. I would still be leary about purchasing it. This is only Motorolas 2nd 3G device for cingular, and it is a realetively new technology for them not having too many 3G GSM devices even globally.

CDMA version on Sprint you simply press home, space to lock your keys... Latest software kicks butt too, great battery life, very few bugs. Hate having to go in and kill apps with the task manager though... Can't wait for CDMA version of the Q9!

I gotta tell ya...I own one of the original G's. Its amazing how this field evolves daily. I have updated my software and my system runs beautifully...(I also have a BB for work as well). There are so many whining inexperienced technocrats out there making brash public statements. The Q was and is a precedent-setting phone...remember, its a PHONE first....pls don't criticize Motorola, without them, there would still be bag phones...they do the best possible to service everyone's needs......there is always something wrong with everything (including my mercedes)...but you gotta suck it up and take it at face value...it is what it is.......do I moan becuse my 8800BB doesn't have a camera..?.NO.......Its up to me to find what suites my needs the...

I agree with you about the MPx220. And I have often been Leary of Motorola phones when it comes to stability. One thing I will say in their defense is that they have always been innovative and set trends that the industry has followed. Look at how the original Startac changed mobile phones overnight. The RAZR and Q set new standards that everyone else imitated to keep up. As pioneers, they have also taken their share of arrows to set the bar higher.
I am personally not a fan of the RAZR or the Q but I respect what they represent in the industry and how they caused others to make a better design which several makers have. To keep competitive, Motorola went back to the drawing board and made new models like this new Q that trump the earlier ...

You are correct they blaze a new path and others follow, like you said they were great with their startac, But everybody has to have the latest greatest, so you upgrade, like you said, bag phone to camera phone what a differance, I rember when phones had a rotary dial. I have had motos, lgs, samsug, nokia, and maybe a few I have forgot, But I must say, the motos seem to work the best, they do have their problems, but overall they work the best, they do not drop calls and have a pretty good signal strength, they have a not to user friendly software, and battery life that is not so good, but as we want phones to be smaller we have to make some sacrafices.
That is why everything has a warrenty/trial period, if it don't work or breaks take it ...
