Lag or no lag?
Hi everyone. I am thinking of doing the unthinkable. After years and years of VZW service, I am thinking of changing to AT&T. I currently have a Q9M phone on VZW but within my 30-day trial period. I really like the phone except for this gosh-darn lag.
For those of you who have the Q9 on AT&T, do you experience any lag using this phone? The Q9M has a different underlying platform than the Q9H, and I am hoping the phone is more responsive on AT&T.
Comments, anyone?

It depends on how many things are running, but so far I have been happy with mine.

I am more referring to the general pressing of buttons to dial, as well as pressing the "Start" button to blook at available options.
I understand that opening programs can take a few seconds, especially if you have let tasks build up and have not cleared them with Task Manager.
On the Verizon Q9M, even just dialing digits can be somewhat laggy.

The VZW was pretty laggy and this phone is quite the opposite... It's very snappy from clicking the start button to seeing the menu items... I could go on and on... but the bottom line is this is the most snappy WM phone I have ever used, and I have used a crap load of them....
I'll make it easy for you... I guarantee if you go and put this phone in your hand, just the difference in the way it feels vs the verizon one will make you buy it.

I'll say the same. The Q9H is very snappy. But, as a previous poster said and you may have misunderstood his remarks, the more apps that are running at any given time will affect anything you try to do, even just dialing a number, not just necessarily opening programs. I used the Q9m for a very short time just to try it out and I found it to be laggy even after a reboot to ensure all programs were closed.
