I own both and can say that the 8310 is a little more user friendly for messaging. The size is a bit more manageable as well. However once Blackberry connect is officially available the Q9 may be the better option as I think the WM6 OS is more adaptable to preference.

I am returning my BB Curve as we speak. The device is excellent, this piece of hardware is amazing. HOWEVER, the BB software sucks a lot. Every week I found out that something a WM device (even WM 5) does that a BB does not. For example, today I discovered that all my "tasks" in OUTLOOK/TASKS have been truncated, cut-short!! ERASED! BB apparently has a "character limit" of 4200 or something, for Task OR Calendar entry! So my normal routine of cutting and pasting a travel itinerary into the DETAILS section of my Calendar day is not doable. What a shame for such a beautiful piece of hardware!

Microsoft needs to BUY RIM!

I love my Q9h, I had a Curve, and I carry a Pearl for work. Like the last guy said, there's some missing features on BB that WinMo6 has. Although, I need someone to let me know if there's a way to "cut & paste" on the Q9h, cuz I think Microsoft still forgot to add that feature. Though they managed to let the phone highlight the lines, but it's useless cuz you can't copy or cut.
