question about the camera and the flash

so i'm wondering if the flash on the camera stays on the whole time you're taking a picture or just when you are capturing the image. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

It stays on the for the entire time you're taking the picture. It is really handy as a flashlight as it remembers your preference, so you can hit the "camera" hotkey and bam the camera comes on with the flash on.

You can turn the flash on when you want to use it...and off when you don't want to use it. I have never used my camera witht he flash.

Open up the camera view....then press the menu button....scroll down and you'll see the flash option.
