If you type text message, will keypad swirl or will stay in place steady?

It's not free-rotating thing. That would be pretty stupid. It "clicks" into position.
Besides, I don't know how you hold your phone when you text, but I generally hold the back of the phone right behind the keypad, which would keep anything from "swirling" away from you.
In fact, I'm not even sure it's physically possible to hold just the top half and type on the bottom half. That would not only be very uncomfortable, it would take some mad skills!

WHat are some of the Highlights that make is an awesome phone. I'm really considering one. I'm torn between the N95, Nokia 6290, and the 5700......(I know the N95 is not 3G).

If you located in USA than NOKIA 5700 won't support 3g, since its got only UMTS European/Asian 3G (2100 MHz), not the USA UMTS 3G (850/1900/2100 MHz)
So, the phone does not have 3g in USA- thats what I mean.
Other stuf is awsome, this NOKIA 5700 has very good design, very good build quality, Symbian S60 3rd edition, which works very well and has many functions and settings, its almost like a smart phone.
It is VERY music oriented, just rotate the keypad and you have a true MP3 player (nobody will know that it is a phone, when the key pad is turned around playback face up)
= )

I have the Nokia N73... Compare the devices! Obviously same s60 3rd ed., higher quality camera in n73 w/ carl zeies auto focus, etc. My n73 has about 10 family guy episodes I play off of SmartMovie, not to mention the music player isnt half bad... not great the 5300 is better but still not half bad. How would the 5700 compare?
