Does anyone have any new info on the release date for the ROKR? My old phone is on its last legs and I'm really looking forward to this one.

ohh my god tell me about it. my two year old v710 (hahahah i know, that thing is a joke) broke in half and 8 days of using speakerphone to make calls and no texting pissed me off enough to just get a phone before this thing never comes out. I'm thinking about getting the HTC 5500 i think it is. Looks like a great phone, even though im not a smartphone type of guy.

it is supposed to be out around christmas. the reason it is taking forever is because it had to go through another round of testing before it can released. they hadn't anticipated having to test it again, that explains the huge lag between announcement and actual release date. it pissed me off too, to the point of me calling my reps and agents pver and over to find out what the deal REALLY was. stupid christmas...why do you have to be so far away?!?

Any ideas why it had to be sent back to the testing lab? Bugs found in beta release or what?

what carrier do u have?? I have US Cellular and they told me that it was supposed to have been released in mid-August, but that the release date was pushed back due to continued testing. I was told the next release date is scheduled for October

i've got uscc... i got told december by, like 4 different people. but over in the uscc forum the have it on good auhority that it will b released sometime this mont, which if it's true, just made my freaking life!!!!!

From USCC's employee information system, they have the Rokr releasing 9-30 with a new promotional campaign. It doesn't say tentative so this should be a pretty good approximation of when you'll see it in stores. Also, the *tentative* release date for the Razr2 is 9-12. I'm not sure how tentative that is, though.
