US CELLULAR: ROKR z6m...Texting Problems....

I got the ROKR when it was first available for sale on Sunday at my local US Cellular store. I love this phone and everything works great EXCEPT for my text messages. (I am a texting freak and cannot handle a phone that doesn't text properly)
Here's what my phone is doing...
It will text fine for a lil bit, but then (and this does happen VERY OFTEN) it will not send my outgoing texts. When I go to my Outbox and click on Message status, it will say "Sending in Progress" but it WILL NOT SEND until I turn the phone off and then back on. After the phone powers back up it will then send the outgoing texts. It doesnt matter if I leave it in the Sending in Progress for 5 minutes or several hours... it will not send the text until I turn of...

If everything on your account is right, than you probably just got two bad phones... It could be a whole batch of bad phones that the particular store got.... try going to another corp store and try to do a otc there...Hopefully that helps, on rare occasions we can get a whole batch of bad phones

yeah, I wondered if it was just a bad batch of ROKRs too (I am on my 3rd one now and still having the same problem). They say that I am the only one that has come forward w/ this problem, they haven't had any other customers mention it.

by the way... yes everything on my account is right. I have had the people at the store and also the tech support for customer service have done various tests in their computers... They've even somehow reset the phone in their computer, and I've tried the Master Reset... but still, nothing has helped... I'm on my THIRD ROKR from the same store and still having the same problem. I think the next nearest corporate store is about an hour away.

hey I just got my phone last Friday and noticed that yes, my phone is doing the exact same thing!!!! I must've "sent" at least half a dozen messages before I realized none of them sent!!! did you get any resolution on this?? I am surprised no one else has come forward with a problem like ours. I do admit I am a really heavy texter and when I first got the phone I sent out at least 50 messages in a row with my new number. I wonder if that has any relevance as to why we are having this "sending in progress" problem. it's really annoying!!!!

I had that problem w/ all of my first THREE phones, but I just kept taking each one back to the store and I made sure to leave the phone to show where the messages hadn't sent so they would know what I was talking about. All of my first 3 ROKR z6m's were all from the same shipment at the local US Celluar store... so I waiting til they got new phones in stock and then I went to get another exchange. I am currently on my FOURTH ROKR (from a different batch than my first 3) and I'm proud to say that it has been over a month and my phone hasn't had any of the texting problems like my first 3. I was told that it was probably just a bad batch of phones. (but that still doesn't explain why no one else came forward w/ the problem...I"m glad that...

its BS i have that problem too and i went to a uscellular store and they told me i had to take it to a repair center i asked them to get me a new one but they said most of the old rokrs had that problem i think its bs that u got 4 phones and those a$$holes coulndt even replace mine but yeah and the difference between ur problem and mine its that wen i turned off my phone so it could send the messages it stayed in the logo screen u know wen it loads and now it wont leave that screen it blows.

Have u tried taking it to another US Cellular store?? How long have u had your phone?

I recently started having this EXACT same problem .. I can send a few texts and then they stop going out after about 4 and just sit in my outbox until I reset the phone. My provider of course is no help, they have no idea what's wrong and have tried all the usual possible "solutions" and nothing works. Then I took out my 2G memory card, left it out and the problem seemed to be gone, I sent and received a dozen or so with no problems at all. I then put the card back in and it still seems to be working fine, so maybe my card was the issue .... if you have one in your rokr try that and see if it works.
