Palm Treo 755p
755p Issue with Caller ID
I had a Treo 600 and 650 with Cingular. Just purchased the Treo 755p and joined Sprint. I have tried 2 different units and both have the same problem. Any contacts that were synchronized into the 755p from the 650 and are in the contacts database, come up as "UNKNOWN CALLER" when I receive a call from one of my contacts. Technical support and engineering cannot resolve this. We have tried every method of fixing and it was their decision to try a second phone.
I was on the on line technical support yesterday with Palm and they suggested adding 91 as a prefix, but as I thought, this does not allow an outgoing call to be made.
This is the only real problem I have had with the device, but it is a major problem.
Any help?
