The price of the phone is $449, but the online discount price is $349. Also, if you're upgrading to a PDA you get an advanced device credit of $100. In addition, if you are up for an upgrade you get another $100 off the of the price. Finally, you get a $50 mail in rebate.
I paid $150 for the phone tonight and will send in for the rebate making the phone $100.

Whoa, where did you see anything about an advanced device credit for going to a PDA....I totally want to get that, but didn't see it. Not to mention when I was looking at the site they said that I could choose "No PDA/Smartphone plan" but there was only one option and that was for the unlimited plan making it $44.95 a month more, which I am NOT going to do. They basically tried to force me into that, and that isn't gonna happen.

God Verizon is the devil....I just spoke with them over the phone because I couldn't get it to come out anywhere near that pricing and according to them, I should only be able to get the New Every 2 $100 discount. The $100 discount AND the Advanced data credit are supposedly one and the same. And the only way you get that is to choose a $45 a month plan. That ain't happening. WOW they make me angrier every time I talk to them

pssst theres no unlimited data plan package contract, "try it" for a few weeks and get rid of it. Get your advanced credit - but dont spend the money.

Hi,
I forgot to say, you can cancel the data plan at anytime. i got the phone today and canceled it as soon as I activated the phone. In fact the rep asked if I wanted to cancel it. I suggest you get to yelling. I would not accept yes. if you wanna email me privately I will tell you my cell number and they will have to honor the price.

When look at the phone it mentions the advanced device credit. If you click on learn more, it explains the credit. if you are up for a new every two, you will need to call in because the online system is having a problem recognizing that discount. When you call make sure you tell them to go online and see that the new every two and advanced device can be combined now as previously they were not. Hope this helps.

Well, I called and said I am up for my new every 2 and they told me, u can't get all 3 credit's. 1) On-line discount $100, 2) Advance device credit and 3) The new every 2 credit, as well as the $50 mail in. How did u do it? đ
Please, Please tell me how u got them down to $100. đ
Thanks.
Happy Holidays to all users.

Hi,
The rep I spoke to was Jamaal Cabbagestalk. Call the regular number and ask for extension 2220. If you want to email me privately, I will give you my mobile number and they will have to honor that price. However, my sister ordered the phone and got the same price. Did you see my previous post? I gave directions as to where to find the info that says you can combine the advanced device credit and the new every two. As for the online price that's automatic. You need to explain to them that you are starting at 349*( the online price even though you are ordering on the phone.) Th is is because their system has a glitch and doesn't recognize the new every two credit for most customers. Honestly it did take me an hour to get them to ...

So, then how do I contact you, offline to discuss this further?
Thanks

I still just to not understand the point of paying for a couple hundred dollar phones where the entire point is email, calendar, contacts, data, internet etc and then saying 'oh no, I refuse to pay $45 for the data plan'! . . . Why get the freaking phone then? If I didn't need data I'd go back to a more reliable and cheaper slick little flip phone or something, but I need my calendar, contacts, email and internet on my phone which REQUIRES data use to use...
Now VZW's being $45 over competitions $10 - $30 or something is a whole other issue.

As a long-time VZN big-plan subscriber, last week I made the jump to Sprint, where I bought the 755p for $350, which is about $250 more than the OP's price. If I decide to keep the 755p on Sprint, then in 2 months, I'll net-net in out-of-pocket total costs (for svc. + equip.) between VZN and Sprint. In the remaining 22 months on my contract afterwards, I'll be fiscally SprintSpeed(tm) ahead vs. VZN.

I was wondering, are you on verizon or what? Becuase my new every two discount is only $50. đ But i have everything else (The online discounts and Advance device discount...)
-also, i called cust care and they were no help at all, they gave me a number for vzw.com cust care (which are aparently two different things) and told me to call them. who did you call when you had to dial the extension? Thanks for all your help.
I really want to save two hundred bucks! That'd be nice! đ

âšī¸ I called and talked with Verizon. NOTHING! There was no budging them!!! How frustrating. It didn't help that the so-called "customer service" agents were the most rude! Anyways...you got so lucky! very jelous! đ
...
I was able to get the New Every 2, Advanced Device Credit, the Online Discount ($100 off), and a Mail in Rebate for $50 off. Grand Total before tax (after rebate) of $99.99.
I used the contact info provided earlier in the thread to call VZW directly and explain the various discounts which "should" be applied. Jamaal was courteous and made it happen!

I have been trying for a couple of weeks now and it always goes to voicemail. âšī¸
I leave him messages and he never calls back.
Please tell me the secret.

I had the same problem, kept going to voicemail; however he just happened to pickup the phone, I think he was making another call or something...we had a good laugh about it, and then he assisted me; very friendly and helpful! Sorry to hear that you are having trouble though.
