gmail issue...

This is my first blackberry device, and let me just say, its is by far the best phone I have EVER used. I worked for Sprint for a while and went through several phones there, plus my fist verizon LG a long time ago, and most recently a Nokia 6682. This phone blows them all away. I only have one major issue with it...I have a gmail account set up on it, and whenever I reply to a message, it sends my reply to both the recipient, and back to my at the address I sent it from. Why in the heck is it doing this. I have pop turned on on gmail, cause I use apples mail.app to check it at home. And on the phone I have read reciept and all that stuff turned off now. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Nick

I have a Pearl and it does the same thing. It has nothing to do with the phone its the way gmail groups the e-mails when you send them, they always save the the sent one in the conversation. I have not yet figured out how to stop this on gmail. I am also annoyed by it.

You need to login to your BIS account. Then you create a new filter for your Gmail account. It will be a "FROM" filter, which you will find in a dop-down menu. After that, you type in your gmail address. Save the filter and now you will no longer receive copies of your sent emails.

I have followed your advice here and I am still experiencing the problem with duplicate sent messages. Is there something else I should do?

I would suggest deleting that email account from your Blackberry and from the BIS then reinstall it and create the filter. If that doesn't work consult the forums over at blackberryforums.com
