memory capacity
The Sony ericcson website says the W580i phone supports 2gb in memory. I just purchased a San Disk 4gb memory stick micro (M2). Will this work in the phone? Did I buy the wrong thing?
Thanks

it'll work but your phone wont recognize anything past 2gb.

When I placed the memory stick in the phone it does read 3800MB in the phone status. So the phone does recognize the capacity of the memory card. So far so good. Now I need to load it up wih data to see if I can actually get over 2GB on the phone.

any luck with this? I just order the San-Disk 4GB card online. I had been planning on getting the 2 gig, but I found a good deal on the 4 only a few dollars more so I ordered it, I guess I should have looked up how much the phone supported first.

I too added 4gb. While the phone does recognize it as 4gb. I have yet to successfully load it with 4gb of music. I believe it said memory full at about 2gb. However I may have done something wrong.
Did you fill it up wiyj 4gb of music, photos, or data?
