Sony Ericsson W580 / S500

The Sony ericcson website says the W580i phone supports 2gb in memory. I just purchased a San Disk 4gb memory stick micro (M2). Will this work in the phone? Did I buy the wrong thing?

I have an 810i and i love this phone, except that the volume is too low.
Does the 580 have better/louder volume (on the ear)?
Would you change a 810 for a 580 or a v3xx - AT&T has offered to!

I've been waiting for this phone to come from AT&T for quite awhile (I wish they had the s500 'cause my favorite color is green! 😁 Oh, well).

Now that it's here, I've read reviews here with complaints about minor things--hard to remove the SIM card, difficult battery cover, etc. However, I just read several reviews at another site about keys that crack and covers that peel away. 😲 Do these claims sound valid? Any thoughts or experiences?

I love SE, but I also want my phone to survive in my pocket.

This guys review has to be bogus. Plus if you google like he asks all of the people with this problem are only him. Furthermore he keeps reposting his flake claims all over the web withe same paragraph below. Please ask phonescoop to drop his review, also who has had any of the problems he has encountered. 🙂

The features and design are sweet. Problem is, mine died 3 weeks out of the box; I never damaged it, just turned it off one day and was never able to turn it back on again. Sony is replacing but I have to pay to ship it to them to replace a brand new flawed phone. I just got my Sony W580i. It is a very decent phone but while scrolling the address book, it locks up when I get to last entry (Z) and then after 3-4 minutes it re-boots itself.

I see the last entry in the address book *NOW. I do not know what it is. Any help or work around will be highly appreciated.

What is the best way to back up phone numbers from this W580i phone? I have many important numbers and the sim card can not store all.

The lights (that you can change with the theme) keep resetting to the the light greenish orange color that is standard on my white W580. I have a theme downloaded that changes those lights to blue but if I listen to a song or just open a text, they sometimes change back to the stardard color. This is also happens with a green theme called Clarity, I downloaded. Does anyone know why this happens? Does it only happen with themes that are downloaded?

Also, if I unbrand the phone, will it still be covered by the one year warranty that AT&T honors?

Will it take wma format? I ask because sometimes the info tab isn't always correct.

One question, please for the love of god, someone have an answer for me.
No matter what theme I download from any site, my light effects are blue. My phone is black and orange. I do not want blue shining out of everywhere. Just orange, to match everything else, or off for that matter. Thats it, thats all I want. Simple.
Please, please tell me how to do this. I will love you for ever, make my lights orange.
I don't want to have to take a phone back that I love because I have lights bright enough to be a flashlight shining blue everywhere, please help a brother out!!

I just got the new phone from AT&T, the black color, and realized that the walkman player can't display the text for my chinese songs..help??

how are the websites on this phone?
do they load pretty well?

i been playing with it and noticed that the

ringtones in my phone plays in walkman player

its realy anoying when im listening to the

music and ringtone just starts to play 😕

i try to erase 'at&t power down, power up and ringtone' also that 'sun beamz',,,

it didn't erase!!!

can some one teach me how to erase that crap?

found a black one on daydeal.com, as well as another model (sony 810) . why arent these on this site to review? it said that they were unlocked to any gsm carrier so does that mean that att doesnt sell it and ill have to get it online?

Does this model have auto focus like the 810 did? Sorry if it's been asked before but I'm getting conflicting info on the net. Can someone reply that actually HAS the phone?

Since this phone has features one would use walking/running, does anyone know of a case suitable? I've found an A013 on Ebay that is generic, but I can't believe that no one makes a case specifically for exercising with this phone.
