Some help for the tech challenged...
I don't carry a purse, so I prefer a small phone to either carry or fit in my pocket.
I would like to buy a bluetooth so I can multitask.
I text once in a while, but not enough to care if I have to change the mode to type -- don't even know what the names of the modes are. Also, please note that I don't even text enough to warrant buying even a basic texting package.
I don't want to use any of the internet capabilities.
An alarm/calendar would be nice...snooze not a big deal.
What I do need:
I need the volume to be loud on the phone (not the ringer, the voice), b/c I think I'm going deaf.
I need good service...I'm tired of dropped calls.
If I spend the money on the bluetooth, I want it to work well ...

Your post seemed a bit old but I'll help out anyways.
honestly, you have to have a lot of money in your pocket to get a good bluetooth headset. i thought i was getting a good deal on a $20 Motorola H3 headset from VZW and it was junk. I agree that bluetooth multitasking is definitely a plus if you need to do it alot.
if you are looking for a small phone, this one is the smallest there is from AT&T.
as for texting, i haven't tried it on a C3 or C3b (same exact interface I'm sure).
almost every phone has some sort of alarm clock or calendar. you probably will find it in this phone.
