Q9c Battery Drains when No Service
I got the Motorola Q9C this week and I'm noticing that while I'm at work, I have very intermittent service at best. I am noticing that while at work, my phone's battery dies very quickly. In the morning it's fully charged and by the end of a 9 hour day my phone has died. Any recommendations on how to stop this from happening?

I think you have to shut it off once and a while. If you leave it charging all the time the battery drains quicker.....I think....

I am on my Q9c ALL the time, day and most of the evening. I found the only way to conserve the battery is to make sure all unused running applications are killed, and changing the diming and black light functions.

If you are still using your Q9 (actually any phone) here is how this works:
Since the beginning use of CDMA digital technology, you gained and lost something about your phone...
The more signal strength your phone has, the less power it uses to operate. So instead of analog phones all using the same power all the time, everyone gained extended use with this new technology.
However, when your phone is searching for signal - it is sucking your battery dry. There is no resolution for this problem as it is a part of the technology.
