earpiece ends the call????
why does the call end when i unplug the earphone???? this never happened on my prior cellphone; i should be able to alternate without having my call cut off. is anyone else having this problem on the 9c?

When you remove the headset you are probably shorting out two contacts inside the plug. That is how the button on most headsets operated, it just buts a short across two of the wires and makes the phone begin/end a call
