Can the slide out keyboard be used with web access?
ChokeNov 7, 2007, 4:13 PM
All the photos and reports say when the keyboard is slid out it goes straight into messaging. Can the keyboard be used to navigate web sites though ie. type out url's and etc?

yes. you can do everything the phone does when its not slided out. it says that when you slide it open it goes to the messaging for ease of text and quick access. but you can press the end button or back and it'll go to the main screen. then you can press the menu button and stuff like that to do other things. i tried it at the sprint store. =]

I'm very interested in this phone, however the two Sprint dealers I went to, the first the girl didn't know what she was talking about and told me that the centro has windows, then the second when I asked to test out the rumor said she can only let me hold the phone, but she cant turn it on?!?! W.T.-u know the last letter.....I wanted to know if it's even WORTH spending an extra $15 a month for internet on the rumor, how's the browser software?? Is it waterred down like everyother cell..because I know this doesn't have windows and if I'm spending an extra $15/month i want to be sure I'll get my money's worth

hmm, these sprint dealers that you went to, were they like stands in the mall or something? because usually sprint dealers in the mall have non-working display phones. so maybe thats why she said she cant turn it on. lol. you should go to an actual sprint retail store, (or maybe thats what you did?) i dont actually have the phone [yet] but when i went to play with one at the store, the browser software was good. i dont know what else to tell you because im not a technical phone person like some on here =[. but good luck!!
