Just the Facts please...
I know this LG Scoop (Alltel) has been desired by big-time texters. That said, I want to know what kind of PHONE it is. Putting texting and everything else aside just for a moment, honestly, does it get great reception? Does it have good speaker volume, ringtones, voice quality?
If someone does not do alot of texting, is there any reason to get this phone?
Thanks.

if you don't text, why would you get it? it's a quality phone, but for non texters, there are better solutions. Katana II has high volume, loud ringer, great reception. Funny thing is, the Upstage has great reception compared to other phones. Or the M300. Do'nt get this phone if you just want a phone. Get it if you want to text/email.

What is the phone like? Is the reception crummy? Drop alot of calls? Tinny sound? Or does the phone actually have great reception and sound and good volume? Can it actually do something besides text and email and do it well?
And I have never heard of Kantana II, Upstage or M300. I did a search on M300 and a "watch phone" came up. I'm not interested in a watch phone, even if Alltel had one.
I'm with Alltel and they have none of those things you mentioned.

Ah, thought you were with sprint.
The rumor isn't that great of a phone compared to others. The Snap, the Hue, and th LG AX275 are better deals. Higher quality call wise.

Ok thanks. I have also been reading other comments on other websites, and have asked someone who has this phone, and you all say just about the same thing.

yeah. on the outside it's a nifty phone. lots of hype around it. but after using it, it's a lower end phone than one could get. it's for heavy texting/emailing.
