Htc needs to learn from apple
When are these phone companies going to learn from apple and figure out that people don't want bricks for phones. I'd be all over this phone if it would hit the half inch mark in thickness.

Lets see, what should they learn, no HSDPA, no being able to add programs, having (in theory) having to keep the SIM locked to the phone? If HTC used the TouchFlo interface on this, it would be an improvement over the base WM interface.

As far as "what people want"... people are clammering for this phone. After this phone has been out a few months, come back and compare the user rating of this phone to the iphone, and see what people like better.
But of course, everyone has different needs and preferences. As far as YOUR preferences, why are you comparing a phone with a physical slide-out keyboard to the iphone? If you want to compare HTC to Apple, you should be comparing their Touch. Much more similar to the iphone in physical size (due to the missing querty keyboard), yet still maintains the wide range of application support of a WM 6 Pro device.

Good arguments all, but...but it's what all the cool kids have!!! After all, it's FAR more important that people see my phone and think it's cool than to have it actually DO something. I mean if I can watch videos and listen to music and text message on my phone, what good is it? Use it to make calls? PLEASE! That's like sooooo 2005!!!

There seems to be a ton of buzz and anticipation for this phone, and it hasn't been backed by a multimillion-dollar marketing campaign like the iPhone needed to create that buzz.

cosign that! the iphone is a respectable device despite it's limitations. Point Blank though....You cannot pack a TON 😳 of technology into an itty bitty space. Sheesh guy, they don't call it they TYTN(Titan) for nothing!

The reason the Iphone is so thin is partly because it has no 3g capability. Sorry, I'd rather have high speed data than be able to say I have the thinnest smart phone.

Wow, talking about opening up a can of worms! OK iphone phonescoop user rating is 3.68, fairly LOW! Moto Q9 & Nokia E series are @ 1/2" thick & others!! Iphone has NO umts/HSPDA, polyphonic ringtones, ringer profiles, infared, VOICEDIALING, custom ringtones, text keyboard (try texting going down road in vechile, even with somelse driving!), MMS, video calling or capture, SyncML, To do list, voice memo, games or Java(J2me), or 2.5mm headset jack. Yes it kinda neat & cool, but its an awful expensive toy, to be missing so many basic features!?! Had one. Sorry, Thanks, Fred B. 🙄

Like everybody else, he probably got caught up in the HYPE. I was never sold on the iphone MAINLY because of EVERYTHING that Barnett Jr2 mentioned. YOU REALLY NEED SOME SHARP FINGER NAILS TO MASTER TEXTING on THE iPHONE. My only concern with the 8925 is the NON-16mill.pixel DISPLAY.
