Text Message Icon

According to the phonescoop video review of the tilt there is an icon on the today screen that opens a new text message. The tytnii, as awesome as the today screen is, doesn't have the text message icon. I have to go through the message center and make 4 selections before being able to start a text. Any body know how I can get this option on the tytnii?

because it's windows-based OS (WM6), you can change your home screen. Otherwise the fixed button on the lower-right is a dedicated text.
