speakerphone problem - please help!!!
i am soooo confused. with the slider down, i unlock the phone by pushing the side music button. i scroll to the number i want to dial, which happens to be my voice mail at home and which has a string of programmed passcosdes, etc. i press call. i then press the "speakerphone" option in the lower left corner. then the speakerphone turns off and i get the message on the bottom of the screen that says "press any side key to unlock". when i push abutton to unlock, i then see a big message that say "NOT AVAILABLE DURING CONVERSATION". then EVERYTHING is screwed up from there. the phone quits hearing the prompts to dial a sting of numbers. it's just crazy that it appears the phone locks up before it can dial my string of numbers, even thou...

That is a weird problem.

I just got off the phone with Verizon on what I think you are talking about. Slider open or closed, the phone times out too quickly. Yes you do have to push the "music" button to unlock it again. If you hold it down or press it twice it will think you want to play music, but if you are on a call or accessing your voicemail it won't let you. As you mentioned with the message you get.
It's a pain in the butt if you ask me. It seems like if you are using the phone it should not time out that quickly, but it does.
I won't get rid of it for that, though.
