LG Venus VX-8800
RIP Venus...moving on to good ol' reliable enV!
I really like LG products, but that touch screen ended up being too much to handle. Too gimmicky, slow, etc. I really missed having hardware directional buttons. Got a brand new enV and $100 back for my trouble. I'm also still getting my $50 rebate in the mail. I guess they forgot to check if my Venus box still had the UPC intact! Lucky me. I ended up keeping the Venus for exactly 30 days... 😛

I like my Venus, but it's only been a day.
The call quality is better than what it was on my envee. I'm not sure if it's due to better reception/signal strength, but the conversation didn't seem to flow with my envee, almost like it was broken up and echoes on my end sometimes. So far, calling the same people and in the same locations the Venus is much better.
I think this is the first time in a year that after calling my father, him saying hello and me saying something back, that he hasn't said, "Huh?!" 🤣
I'm hoping the smaller size outweigh the lack of buttons, but it's early yet.....
