I've noticed it has WCDMA 850/2100. Now, does that mean it'll work with AT&T's network and give us 3G speeds? Or do we need 850/1900 for that to work?

I just got my nokia e51 and have realized that I cannot access the AT&T UMTS (3G) network. I called a usa nokia flagship store and was told that although this phone had UMTS 850 capability, it is not compatible with the one that AT&T uses- specifically this phone is compatible with Australia's UMTS network? If anyone else know any information please let me know.

Today I noticed that the 3G of this phone works on AT&Ts network in the New Brunswick, NJ area only. I got extremely fast speeds, about 900-kB/sec.

I live in the NYC metropolitan area and I still only get edge there. In fact, even in the city I get edge. I wonder why I get proper 3G in New Brunswick. Regardless of that, it works flawlessly in Vancouver, BC under Rogers. My data roaming plan is pretty decent and wasn't charged too much as well.

I actually totally forgot I was out of the country, and the fact my 3G was working for once I just didn't care :-)
