Belt clip?
Does this phone come with a belt clip included? Or any sort of "protection" for the phone such as a case, etc?

It comes with a lame slip pouch toooo bad it doesn't come with the style case the 8830 comes with. You want to check with T-Mobile they have a bunch of styles .....................

Na it's just a flat piece of fabric or something like that the 8830 comes with a super nice leather case with a heavy duty clip . However the price on the 8130 is right so it looks like Verizon didn't want to go the extra mile. With that thought most of the PDA's come with nothing anyway. you may want to due a ebay thing I believe there is tons of case on the net ...........

The pouch I got in the box was leather and it has a notch on one side to allow room for the trackball to slide into it. It was described as a "pocket pouch" and it does not have a clip. I bought the new Verizon-branded leather case for the Pearl and it fits quite nicely, has a belt clip that I can wear horizontally or vertically and it has a plastic cover for the screen. Very smart investment in my opinion. Retails for $24.99.
