Sprint Pearl 8130 - Standby Option
I have had this phone for 4 days and have had issues with the standby option button. It seems to work most of the time, then it disables and I can't do it. The button is working, since it makes the phone light up, but it won't let me hold it down to put the phone on standby. I like this option for when I put it in my pocket and don't accidentally call someone. It takes me to open the cover and remove the battery for a few seconds and turn the phone back on for the option to start functioning again. Any thoughts why this is happening??????????
P.S. I do have a hard case on it...does that have anything to do with it???

Well, I actually figured out the issue. It's because of the hard case. I accidentally purchased a hard case for the 8100 pearl, not realizing that the 8100 and 8130 were not the same in regards to button placement on the sides of the phone. So, when my case is on the phone, it pushes down on both the side buttons on the right and left. Because of this, I have disabled my buttons so that nothing happens when they are pushed...however, when both are pressed down at the same time, the standby button won't activate. Probably too much going on at one time. Anyways, I looked everywhere for the exact case to fit the 8130 with no such luck.
