I have a Mac and just ordered the Pearl and was assured by other Mac users that they've had less problems with the bb than with the Palm, for instance. There's always Mark/Space, an inexpensive third-party syncing software, which I currently use for my Treo and will see if I need for my Pearl.
Good luck (to both of us!).

No need for spending extra. I opened my box from Verizon and saw Pocket Mac printed on the disk. It's normally $40, but they included it absolutely free. Thanks Verizon Wireless! Another first

I had to install/uninstall/reinstall PocketMac four times til it got all of my contacts and calendar items to sync. At first it didn't even recognize my handheld. So frustrating!! But I think PM is free online...?
Anyway, so far it's working; fingers crossed. I've yet to have the same success syncing with my car's bluetooth. Btw, do you know if the Pearl requires a password to sync with a vehicle's hands-free tech, or--if the car requires it--how can I get it onto the device? Right now they're not even 'seeing' each other.

That's good news. I haven't tried to sync again--after finally getting it to sync properly--and am hoping when I do that it all works. But I'll keep my eyes out for a BB-issued Mac solution. I think (hope?) that maybe all these tech companies are starting to figure out that more people have Macs than ever before and they need to take us seriously!
As for the BB itself, I love it. I'm so glad I got the Pearl and have no complaints. It's an amazing little device!

curious why you don't like the Voyager. I have an iPhone and a Pearle 8130. The Pearl is great but no iPhone. Struggling to finalize my phone use. Also use aNN Curve 8310 for work.

o just found that the voyager wasnt the phone that verizon made it out to be. the "touch screen" is actually a rather insensitive pressure sensitive screen. the battery life was poor and the internet browser was painfully slow. im so much happier with the pearl its the best phone ive ever owned and believe me ive had em all
