I believe you're talking about the "unlock" software for the lock boxes. This one will NOT work for him. Treos will work, as long as they are windows based. Have your friend check with his IT guy. They will have a list of compatable devices. The 6800 and I760 are rumored to work, but i don't believe the upgrade to the software is completed yet.
