Keep getting old email

I have a Verizon Blackberry Pearl that keeps receiving old emails that I have deleted off of my phone. They keep showing up as new messages weeks later. I have email reconciliation turned off. Other people do not have this problem.

Does anyone have any solutions?

One more thing, I am not on a BES. I am using this to get my school email via POP3 and the blackberry internet solution.

Email reconciliation does not work for me. If I delete an email off my phone, it leaves it on my mail server.
